LEARNING EXPERIENCE DESIGN

Learning Experience Design (LED) offers faculty a full range of services and support for course design and development including consultation and guidance on instructional design, assessment strategies, instructional technology recommendations, graphic design, video recording (studio and field), digital imaging, 3D scanning, Discovery Commons, research opportunities, funding options and more.

• NLI Credit • Adherence to additional agency requirements
Course Design/Redesign Support

Options include individual consultation, cohorts, faculty working groups, and certification through Networked Learning Institute (NLI).

Funding Awards Management

Design and Develop Awards funded through Provost and 4VA Course Redesign Grants.

Instructional Design

Interdisciplinary cohorts, program-specific work groups, individual consultation.

Media and Technologies

Graphics and illustration development, digital images and scanning, digital media (studio and on-site for lecture, classroom and events), digital asset management, Discovery Commons collections and instructional technology implementation for teaching and learning.

Assessment Planning and Development

Asssessment planning and development at course level, alternative and authentic assessment options, ePortfolio, course quality assurance for instructional design.

Research

Consultation on research potential for course elements, research on design practice and use of digital learning objects.
